Why is this guy still free?

Matt Gaetz, as most already know, is a truly despicable person, but his latest remarks where he said that women who support abortion rights are too fat and ugly to get pregnant, implying that no one would want to be intimate with them, is a new low, is an insult to all women, and demonstrates the depravity of this horrible individual.

The 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, Section 3 reads: "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof." To my knowledge, Gates wasn't directly involved in the insurrection, but he did give aid and comfort to the enemies thereof... specifically Donald Trump and company, and therefore, he should have already been removed from Congress, and for me, this is just another example of the slow pace of the Department of Justice when it comes to holding those in power accountable for their crimes. Because of his support of the worst man ever to sit in the Oval Office, and the sex trafficking charges, I think the time for this guy to be removed from office is long over due, and the fact that he's still walking around free just demonstrates how very difficult it is for those in power to be held accountable for their crimes. The longer this man is free, the more dangerous he is. The time to hold Gaetz accountable is way past due. He must be held accountable.. 🙏
