Many thanks to Val WC from Prescott Indivisible for posting this today on Facebook. Some of us had hoped that this was news of Thomas resigning from the Supreme Court, but while that's not the case, this is still very good news, because it's a chink in the armor of this horrible man. The main reason I wanted to post this on the blog is to give recognition to the students who made this happen. They have proven that speaking truth to power can bring about big changes. This is a small win, but nonetheless, and important win, and the country really needs some wins.
Next up is Ginni Thomas who very well may find herself receiving a subpoena from the January 6 Select Committee should she refuse their invitation to appear voluntarily. Simply because she's the wife of a Supreme Court Justice, I can think of no reason why she should be given special treatment... not if the Committee is going to stick by the rule that no person is above the law. These two have, in my opinion, skirted the law, and they both need to be held accountable. When Thomas is removed from the court and Mrs. Thomas is held accountable for her seditious attempts at overturning the 2020 election, then America will have taken an important step on the road back to normalcy, and the rule of law. 🙏
